Time to blog history again!
Back to Malaysia 2 weeks ago with my family for Mother's day! Did the usual stuff, like having 1000 meals a day and catching up with my relatives, and my (sec 2) cousin's taller than me A-L-R-E-A-D-Y! I kept laughing at how she's taller than mum and sis and now she's caught up with me. not that it's something very difficult given my height hahaha but still so sad. Anyway, I did my nails!!
I know it's not something very wow wow wow but i have to talk about it cause it was a really different experience. My first time was done in Singapore at $15 if I'm not wrong. I opted for express manicure and the service was really 'express' cause it was done hastily (and horribly) by a C lady who only had eyes for the rich tai tais.
I opted for express again this time cause I wanted to do my hands and legs and it's damn cheap. only RM15 he he. and they use O.P.I nail polish. and I super like how attentive they were although there were many people. Okay, end of bimboness haha.
Then parents headed for their Genting trip the following weekend and sis went for her graduation trip on the Tuesday my parents returned to SG. So my Tuesday was spent fussing over my sister, having a good dinner together and sending her to the airport.

blogshopaholics decided to put our loots to good use and came up with a checkered theme for the day!
This is damn funny hahaha.
I am trying to 'unblock' Qian Yu who'se running away from the camera.
but it looks like we're trying to run away from the poison Serene is trying to feed us!
Seriously laughed my head off that day. Our first game was Taboo and Xiao Ting was damn RA!
So that prompted us to play our next game,

Then we had Co Co Crazy which drove Xiao Ting and Shan crazy, and I have evidence!

Heard good reviews of that place so went to check it out. Ordered the salt and vinegar fries and it was wayyy too overpowering. You can see the big big balls of powder coated on my fries that stung my tongue if you look at the picture carefully. And to make things worse, a baby cockroach dined with us! So it wasn't exactly a pleasant experience there!
Glad to be able to spend time with my wonderful sem 1 project mates though,
and Bon Voyage Xiaoting! :)
Spent some quality time with my family today! :))
My attempt to get up earlier to exercise failed. Got up just in time to have breakfast with my parents. Went to a kopitiam near my old house and reminisce about the past where our family of 4 would squeeze together in our 1 room rented flat. and the noodles there cheap cheap, $2 for a big plate only hahaha
Went to check out the beauty centre on our way back cause Mum has been thinking hard and long about going for eyebrow embroidery. She has 0 strands of hair on her eyebrow so sis and I have been trying to convince her to go for it but she insists that she will end up with moustache eyebrows. then guess what, the lady boss managed to convince her to go for it in just a minute lor!
The process is damn scary. First, the beautician used a little knife to "cut' lines on her eyebrows and blood just oozed out like that! so i went into hiding when the beautician cut her other side of the brows. Then she applied the colour and cut her brows 2 more times. my mummy nearly went mad from the pain and everything's finally over in 2+ hours (that means I've stared into the space doing nothing for 2+ hours!) and I think it's quite nice, just need time to 'adapt' to the extra 2 blackies sitting on top of her eyes after seeing her without it for 20 years!
Before
no photo of after, yet. heh heh.

Then Gabriel turned 23 a week earlier than he should hahaha. Cause we got the dates wrong and he will be overseas on the actual day. so here's the happy birthday boy with his forklickin'good durian cake @ Big O.小茏包 @ Holland V. Crystal Jade!

Next stop was at The Daily Scoop across the street.

Then was supermarketing at NTUC which I have not done so for ages and it's damn fun! I used to hate it cause mummy used to shop at Sheng Siong where aunties enjoy stepping on people's feet in their rush to dash for items on offer. and i think mummy wouldn't want me to be around next time cause I loaded my basket with damn alot of food until I cannot stuff more food in it hahaha.
The end, finally!
The end, finally!

Alumni concert 2010.
Will be held in July.
On the 31st.
On my birthday!
So I was struggling to make a decision on whether or not to join this concert. Then Gypsy ma came along and successfully conned me into agreeing to perform for the concert. So that explains our reappearance in nas yesterday! It was good to see the people I missed, and to play the instrument I love.

because we stayed in silent mode when we were supposed to play and played like a hero when we shouldn't!
and the source of the trouble came from the tuning of our instruments. Tuning has always been the fear factor and we lost the courage to do it after so long. Should have taken a picture of how freaked out gypsy was that she stood at the other end of the room when I was tuning lor! So we took damn long to tune and missed out on the changes the conductor made to the scores.

Migrated back to blogspot! Home is still the best, haha.
I want to deafen everyone with a very lag statement, that is exams are over!
Last semester passed by particularly fast.
I never fail to have Moody mondays blues because of the early lessons, late dismissals and ALS. I dreaded Tiring tuesdays for the boring ICT lessons.
I liked Wonderful wednesdays for the short lessons
I was neutral about Thursdays
& I love Fantastic fridays because it's off off off!
Assignments drove people crazy as usual and exams were scarier. 4 days to finish reading Mt St Geogr Notes, 8 hours to revise for Finite Maths and the most classic one is Number Theory. Chiong till we drop @ 3am when the paper was 9am the next day. So I'm thankful that my 同包Serene 收留ed me so that I could have more time to study and rest instead of travelling.
It is always during the exam period when I find myself wanting to do a million things after the exams. But when exams are over, I find myself not doing any of those that I've fantasized even in my dreams.
Obstacle: my dear mommy.
Anyway, these are the little things I managed to do these days!
Indulged in sexy topless 5 with the girls,
Spent time with family during the long weekend,
Caught a violent show Kick-ass,
Had a good trip to the Helix bridge,
bbqed @ Nicole's place,
went singing,
AND finally de-lag myself and registered for btt
ha ha ha
The rest of the time was just tuition, home, nannying, auntieing and dramaing.

There are many things that I want to do this holiday cause I will not have the time for anything else when a new term starts. To go overseas with my friends, to learn more about Singapore, to spend some time with friends and family whom I have neglected during the term and to do what a girl should do, shopping! But mummy doesn't like me to go out and objects violently to the idea of going overseas with friends and it makes it hard to go ahead with what I want to do.
Sometimes I wonder, how far will this sheltered life get me to? While I appreciate and understand that they want to keep us away from all possible danger, I do hope that at times, I can be left on my own to learn how to stay safe on my own and to fend for myself.
I ever lost my bag once, and that became the convenient reason by my parents for not allowing me to go overseas without them, cause I will "definitely lose my passport overseas because I lost my bag"
News reports of Bali bombings, terrorist attacks at Bintan, Batam and instabilty at Bangkok were their justification for my deprivation of beautiful beaches and the busy night markets.
Possible attacks by rapists, robbers, dangerous people was the reason why I have to be home early.
Had a tuition kid who comes from a broken family with tattoos, who smoke and swear, and I was forced to give her up. This is their policy, to make me retreat at the first sign of danger.
These are what I want to say to them, but I know I will never have a chance to do so and convince them. So when will I be able to grow up on my own?
To restrain the tongue, is probably to consign abhorrent thoughts to oblivion.
But we neglect that silence supports the accuser's charge.
That's from me, to you.
